UKIP
MEP Mike Nattrass has been unanimously selected to stand
as UKIP’s
prospective parliamentary candidate for Staffordshire South.
Members
of UKIP’s South Staffordshire Constituency
Association have voted in favour of the selection of
the West Midlands MEP to fight for the seat in South
Staffordshire at the next General Election.
Speaking
at the Association’s branch meeting,
held at Codsall Village Hall last Tuesday, Mr Nattrass
said he was determined to fight tooth and nail to defend
the interests of the people of South Staffordshire at
the forthcoming General Election.
He
said: “We will do well at the General Election.
In the same week that the EU is discussing the imposition
of EU birth and death certificates I get from you (the
Branch) my ‘license to grill’ and the Cons
are going to get grilled over their support of the European
Union.
“It
is time for change and I will fight alongside the people
of South Staffordshire for that change.
“I am proud to be selected as UKIP’s
prospective parliamentary candidate for South Staffordshire.
The
campaign starts straight away.
Mike
Lynch, chairman of the South Staffordshire Constituency
Association,
said: “Mike is a top notch choice
and we are delighted that he is standing in South Staffordshire.”
Ken
Gould, a fellow member of the Association, added: “I
think Mike is an excellent choice for us.
“This
is marvelous news for us and I believe we have an excellent
chance in South Staffordshire at the
General Election.”
